What began as a controlled burn at 295 Grand Oak Road near Lakeview Tuesday afternoon spread, becoming a brush fire consuming 40 acres in the Bruce Creek area.Grover Township Fire Chief Jim Sierzchula says no structures were threatened in the blaze.
Both the Midway Fire Department and the Forestry Service rendered aid in the 3:12 p.m. fire.
