Gainesville man arrested on drugs and weapons charges

Ozark County Sheriff Darrin Reed says a 49-year-old Gainesville man was arrested Tuesday on several drug and weapons violations after a call for service, by a family member, came into the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department. Reed says the man allegedly approached Deputies Tiffany Fox and Justin Urich with a loaded handgun. He is incarcerated on a $10,000 cash only bond.

After a further search, deputies found a shotgun inside Morgan’s residence, located north of Gainesville.

He has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon, with other charges likely pending an investigation.

Evidence has been sent to Missouri State Crime Lab Division for processing.
