Scott Estes, the owner of the newly opened Aspire Outdoors in Mountain Home, took time out of his busy schedule Wednesday to speak with KTLO, Classic Hits 101.7 and The Boot news. The store is in full gear this week as anglers for the 2018 BassCat Owners Invitational prepare for the tournament, which kicks off Friday.
The store features one of Estes’ creations, Denali Rods, used for fishing. He says he began developing a prototype around the same time he was working at the BassCat factory in Midway.

Estes says since 2010 it has grown to what is now, starting with an eight rod series in 2008. There are now over 100 rods that can be found in retail stores across the country.

He says he’s an avid outdoorsman and, with the fishing product developed, the Aspire Outdoors store was a natural transition adding hunting and outdoor apparel to the mix.

The store had a soft opening March 29th and Estes says it has been busy since.

Aspire Outdoors is located at 2492 Highway 62 East in Mountain Home.
