The Twin Lakes Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 775 is inviting the community to honor military veterans of World War II. A commemorative fly-in and static display is scheduled for Saturday from 10:00 until 3:00 at the Baxter County Airport in Midway.

The event is free and open to the public as airplanes will be on display, and food will be available. Aircrafts at the event include a TBM Avenger, a Beechcraft C45, a Yak-52, a Bell 407 from Air Evac Lifeteam and Survival Flight, a Bell OH-58 from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, a King Air 200, a Citation V, a Honda Jet and more.

World War II veterans will be acknowledged and honored at 2:00. Also during that time, a drawing will be held from raffle tickets purchased for a $5 donation. Tickets are available at any area Integrity First Bank location or at the Big Air, LLC, fixed-base operator (FBO) at the airport. Proceeds will benefit the Leading Edge Aviation Foundation’s Private Pilot Certificate Scholarship.

Anyone interested in attending can go online to pilotsprops.org for the latest information and status of the fly-in. If the weather forces the event to be moved to the rain date of May 12th, it will be announced on the website and through local media.

For more information, contact EAA Chapter President Steve Johnson at 870-404-4802 or Big Air FBO Manager Trey Ressler at 870-402-9000.
