A Twin Lakes Area native has become a bit of a celebrity with his regular appearances on a television racing show. Mike Gage, known as Mustang Mike, is one of the featured drivers on the “Street Outlaws: Memphis” television program.
Gage says it is his long history of racing and luck that earned him a spot on the show.

Gage began his racing career at age 16 when he took part in the Ford Circuit. Recently, he suffered a bad crash while racing against the 405. As a result, Gage was forced to put his old Mustang out of commission, but is back racing with a new ’95 model. He has six cars at home, in addition to the one he currently races.
Gage says the comradery is his favorite part of being on the show.
