Scott Dudelson/Getty ImagesEx-Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and his girlfriend/musical collaborator Orianthi are apparently taking a break from their relationship, although they still plan to work together.
In a joint statement released to TMZ and directed to their fans, the couple says, “Thank u to all our fans who have bought the new RSO record and attended our shows, we love and appreciate you all…We love and support each other but are taking the summer off to focus on family and other endeavors. We will regroup in the near future with our music.”
They add, “Peace and love to you all and thank you for your continued support.”
Sambora and Australian guitar whiz Orianthi have been together since 2014, and have been performing and recording under the moniker RSO. The duo released its debut album, Radio Free America, in May after issuing a series of EPs and singles over the course of the past year.
One of Sambora and Orianthi’s most recent performances took place at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland on April 7, one week before Richie was inducted into the institution with his fellow Bon Jovi band mates.
