Norfork United Methodist Church welcomes new pastor

Norfork United Methodist Church has announced the appointment of Pastor Ray Bachman to its staff.

Pastor Bachman and his wife, Jeanne Engeler Bachman, are both natives of Indiana, but have lived in the Mountain Home area for the past several years. Bachman is a graduate of Taylor University, as well as Candler School of Technology at Emory University in Atlanta.

Bachman has served in a pastoral role at Wesley United Methodist Church in Cotter and has also pastored churches in Indiana, Michigan and Haiti. He continues to be affiliated with the Avon Park Holiness Camp in Florida, where he serves as a winter Bible study teacher.

Norfork United Methodist Church invites interested persons in the community to join them for Sunday Services at 9:00. Holy communion is offered the first Sunday of each month followed by a potluck fellowship lunch.

The church is located one block behind the post office in Norfork at First and Blevins streets.
