Fleetwood Mac, Cher to help “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” kick off its 16th season

Randee St. Nicholas; Machado CicalaFleetwood Mac and Cher are ready to help Ellen DeGeneres ring in the new season of her popular syndicated talk show.

According to Billboard, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band and the entertainment icon will be guests on separate episodes during the first week of The Ellen DeGeneres Show‘s 16th season, which kicks off Tuesday, September 4.

Fleetwood Mac will visit Ellen on Wednesday, September 5, and will perform two of its classic songs on the program. This will mark the group’s first-ever appearance on the show and also mark its first television performance with new members Mike Campbell and Neil Finn. The band’s latest North American tour gets underway October 3 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Cher will cap off the premiere week for the talk show on Friday, September 7. She’ll join Ellen for a sit-down interview, as well as deliver a performance of “S.O.S.,” from her upcoming ABBA cover album, Dancing Queen. The tribute album comes out September 28.

Rapper Nicki Minaj will be Ellen’s guest on the September 4 episode. Other guests on tap for the new season include actors Mark Wahlberg, Anna Kendrick, Channing Tatum and Kristen Bell.
