CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) _ A St. Louis County man has been sentenced to 15 years in
prison for beating a drinking buddy to death with a concrete block.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports 70-year-old Arthur Cooper was sentenced Monday. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action in August.

Authorities say Cooper and 58-year-old Harvey Raspberry were drinking in a
garage at the home they shared in October 2012 when they began arguing and
fighting. Witnesses called police, who found Raspberry on the ground and Cooper
staggering away. Raspberry died at the scene.

Police say Cooper used a paving stone or landscaping block. No motive was
given.
