District tournament play continued Tuesday for a few high school volleyball teams.
The semifinals of the 2A-North District Tournament were held at the Yellville-Summit Multi-Purpose Facility.
Cotter began the evening by upsetting the host and top-seeded Lady Panthers. The match needed all five sets as the Lady Warriors advanced to the finals with scores of 25-22, 22-25, 12-25, 25-19 and 15-11.
Midland will be Cotter’s opponent for the district championship on Thursday. Flippin ended up falling to the Lady Mustangs in four sets. The Lady Bobcats will face Yellville-Summit for third place.
Bergman had a rough night in the semifinals of the 3A-North District Tournament at Atkins. The Lady Panthers lost in straight sets to Perryville 25-15, 25-6 and 25-15. Bergman will be paired with Clinton in the third place match on Thursday.
