
Arvest Bank of Mountain Home will provide businesses and the general public an opportunity to have their confidential documents shredded at no cost Saturday from 10:00 until 1:00. The shredding event will be held at the bank’s location at 2619 U.S. Highway 62 east in Mountain Home.
The event is an effort to offer protection against identity theft. All documents will be shredded on-site so residents can be assured the paperwork has been destroyed. There is a limit of five boxes per household at the Arvest and Shred-It hosted event.In addition, Arvest associates will grill hot dogs for participants and KTLO, Classic Hits and the Boot will broadcast live from 10:00 until noon, with an opportunity for listeners to open the station’s treasure chest.
Although the event is free, donations to local nonprofit organization Into the Light will be accepted. Into the Light provides refuge and support services to minors who are victims of sex trafficking. The organization works to educate minors and communities on the traps associated with human trafficking, in addition to providing 24-hour crisis response.
