High school volleyball is on the local Tuesday schedule as state tournaments begin across the Natural State.
Mountain Home will be in Jonesboro for its first match in the Class 5A State Tournament. The Lady Bombers’ opening opponent will be Hot Springs Lakeside.
Mountain Home comes into the tournament after finishing fourth in the 5A-East. The Lady Bombers bring a 16-7 record into the match. Lakeside is the top-seeded team from the 5A-South.
Action begins at 5 p.m. at the Don Riggs Memorial Gymnasium.
Three local schools will begin the Class 2A State Tournament at Crowley’s Ridge Academy in Paragould. Flippin meets the host Lady Falcons at 1:00, Cotter faces Marianna-Lee at 3:00, and Yellville-Summit takes on Ridgefield Christian at 7:00.
Harrison goes into the Class 4A State Tournament at Mena as the champions of the 4A-Northwest. The Lady Goblins will be paired with Wynne at 5:00.
