A Gassville man was placed on probation for 10 years Thursday after pleading guilty to drug-related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court.

Fifty-one-year-old Bobby Joe Nelson was arrested in early April when officers went to his residence along State Highway 126 North. Nelson and another resident had warrantless search waivers on file with the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections.

A search of the house revealed various items of drug paraphernalia and 4.9 grams of a white crystalline powder field testing positive for methamphetamine.

A revocation petition had been filed in an earlier case of Nelson’s, but the state dismissed it based on the plea agreement in the new case.
