MH to finish football season Thursday by hosting West Memphis

It’s the final week of the high school football regular season in Arkansas, and Mountain Home will play their second Thursday game of the year. The Bombers will wrap up the season with Senior Night at home as they meet West Memphis.
Mountain Home is currently 0-9 on the season and 0-6 in the 6A-East. The Bombers fell at Searcy six nights ago. West Memphis is currently ranked ninth in the state overall and second in Class 6A by the Arkansas Sports Media. The Blue Devils are 9-0 and 6-0 after squeaking out a one-point victory over Pine Bluff.
Mountain Home head coach Bryan Mattox encourages fans to come out to watch the team in their season finale and support the players who are playing the final game of their career.

Kickoff at Bomber Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday’s game can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
Elsewhere in the 6A-East, Searcy travels to Sherwood to face Sylvan Hills, Jonesboro hosts Marion, and Jacksonville makes the trip to Pine Bluff.

Also on the local level, Salem heads to Cherry Valley to take on Cross County, and Melbourne entertains East Poinsett County.

There is also junior high football on the schedule as Harrison travels to Van Buren.
