In junior high basketball Thursday night, Mountain Home won three of four games at home against Valley Springs.
The 8th Grade Bombers were 26-25 winners. James Douglas led the scoring with 9 points.
The Mountain Home 8th grade girls defeated Valley Springs 43-35. Cate Jackson led the way with 15 points, Emma Wilbur scored 9 and Kamryn Mullin and Amelia Rucker each had 8 points.
In the 7th grade boy’s game, Mountain Home downed Valley Springs 38-17. Braiden Dewey led the way with 16 points and Hendrix Hughes scored 9.
Mountain Home lost the 7th grade girl’s contest 21-15.
Izard County won three of four junior high games at home against Calico Rock.
The Junior Lady Cougars defeated the Junior Lady Pirates, 47-23, behind 14 points from Ava Lewis and 10 points from Delilah Bonner. The Junior Lady Cougars improve to 2-5.
In the junior boy’s game, Calico Rock defeated Izard County 43-35. The Junior Cougars, who fall to 3-3, were led by Denton Reilly with 12 points and Gunnar Gleghorn with 11 points.
The seventh grade girls game went to Izard County 16-11. Paige Beaver scored 11 for Izard County.
Izard County also won the seventh grade boys game 18-14.
