Two Baxter County residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident Monday evening in Howell County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 57-year-old Denise Wells of Mountain Home and 55-year-old Danny Haley of Gassville were transported by ambulance to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains from the accident scene one mile south of Mountain View, Missouri.
Haley was the driver of a vehicle traveling northbound on Missouri Highway 17, and Wells was his passenger. The vehicle crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the roadway, overturned and came to a rest on its top. Wells’ injuries were described as moderate, and Haley had minor injuries. A hospital spokesperson says neither individual is listed as a patient.
Haley’s vehicle was totaled in the 7:20 p.m. accident.
