A motorcycle accident in Stone County has killed an Izard County man. According to the Arkansas State Police, 51-year-old Leelenn Branscum of Calico Rock was pronounced dead Wednesday afternoon at the accident scene north of Allison.
Branscum was traveling southbound on Arkansas Highway 5 when he attempted to pass another vehicle. He lost control, fell from his motorcycle and struck the pavement.
Road conditions were dry, and the weather was clear in the 4:40 p.m. accident.
