Lady Bombers open Fair Grove tourney with 20-point win

Mountain Home High School was able to begin the Fair Grove Girls’ Basketball Invitational Tournament with a dominating victory. The Lady Bombers went up across the state line Monday and defeated Buffalo 67-47.

Mountain Home jumped out early on the Lady Bison as they finished the opening quarter with a 20-8 advantage. The second quarter was played fairly even as the Lady Bombers went into the locker room up 13, but they pulled away further in the second half as they went on to post the 20-point victory.

Emma Martin led Mountain Home with 19 points, Anna Grace Foreman scored 16, and Kate Gilbert added 15. For Buffalo, Courtney Austin had a game-high 30 points before she fouled out.

The Lady Bombers improve to 2-0 on the season, and they’ll return to Fair Grove Thursday evening to meet Clever in the semifinals.
