High winds in the Twin Lakes Area Sunday afternoon knocked out power to a large number of North Arkansas Electric Cooperative customers but power has been restored. At the height of the outage, around 2,400 customers were without power. The coop finished restoring power late Sunday night.

A power pole had to be replaced on Ouachita Avenue in Mountain Home that knocked power out to the Northern Hills area. Nearly 900 customers in the Clarkridge area were without power after power lines were blown down.

NAEC says a large number of customers in the Norfork area were down for a while. As of 11:00 Sunday night, they had the number reduced to 248 and finished restoring power to those folks during the overnight hours.
