Tuesday basketball schedule includes local teams in tournaments

Basketball is included on the local Tuesday schedule as some area teams will be in tournament play.

The first round of the Equity Bank Bev Stone Border Classic will come to an end at Omaha as a pair of doubleheaders will be featured. Flippin faces Hacket at 4:00, and the host Eagles teams will be paired with Mount Judea at 6:30.

Two local schools will have teams in action on the second day of the fifth-annual Fordland Invitational Tournament. Dora’s girls will meet the School of the Ozarks at 4 p.m., and Lutie will play a doubleheader against Sparta starting with the girls at 7:00.

The Dora boys will be in Thayer for the River Country Chevrolet Classic. The Falcons will take on Alton at 6:30.

In other high school action, Norfork travels to Calico Rock, Yellville-Summit hosts Alpena, Bakersfield entertains Koshkonong, Gainesville’s boys makes the trip to Ava, Viola is home against Izard County, the Salem boys head to Imboden to meet Sloan-Hendrix, Mammoth Spring hosts Melbourne, the St. Joe boys travel to Western Grove, Marshall entertains Green Forest, Timbo makes the trip to Guy-Perkins, Mountain View is home against Clinton, Rural Special hosts Greers Ferry West Side, Lead Hill heads to Jasper, and Bergman travels to Valley Springs.

Three of Mountain Home’s junior high squads will be in front of the home crowd as they meet West Plains. The eighth grade girls’ game tips off at 4:30 followed by the seventh and eighth grade boys’ contests.
