Machado CicalaIf you’re interested in seeing how Cher’s life is presented in the new Broadway musical The Cher Show, well, so is Cher herself.
The New York Post reports that the diva herself sneaked into the Neil Simon Theater earlier this week to watch the show. A source told the paper, “She walked in during the second act and stayed the entire act. She was clapping and enjoying it.”
The source added that Will & Grace star Eric McCormack, an investor in the show, was also in the audience. “The crowd went nuts — but when Cher walked in, he was invisible,” dished the source.
Cher has previously attended another one of the show’s preview performances, but she “became too emotional” and walked out. Sources told Page Six that Cher was upset that night because the wildfires in Malibu were threatening her home, so she wasn’t in any mood to “witness…the most difficult moments of her life being played out.”
The Cher Show officially opens on December 3. It features three different actresses playing Cher at different stages of her life.
