The Mountain Home High School basketball teams had mixed results Friday as both teams were in tournament action.

The Bomber boys advanced to the consolation championship game of the Citizens Bank and Trust Tournament at Van Buren. Mountain Home got past Bentonville West with a 53-48 victory.
The game stayed close throughout, but the Bombers would end each quarter with the lead. The Wolves did take the advantage early in the final period. The game was knotted at 47 when Colton Peters hit a basket with 36 seconds left, and Mountain Home would not relinquish the lead after that as Bentonville West just managed to get one more free throw.
Wyatt Gilbert led the Bombers with 28 points. Mountain Home improves to 2-1 on the season, and they’ll meet Van Buren Saturday for the consolation title.

The Lady Bombers did not fare as well in their last game of the Fair Grove Girls’ Basketball Invitational Tournament. Mountain Home finished in fourth place after falling to the host Lady Eagles 55-50.
The Lady Bombers were able to go into the locker room up a point at halftime, and their lead was 38-34 after three quarters. However, Mountain Home couldn’t overcome a 21-point final period for Fair Grove who went on to win by five.
The Lady Bombers were led by Anna Grace Foreman with 16 points, and Emma Martin added 15. For the Lady Eagles, Alana Findley had 22 points, and Harley Maxwell chipped in 15.
Mountain Home drops to 2-2 on the year, and their next game will be Thursday when they meet J.A. Fair in Cabot Pre-Holiday Classic.
