LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP)   The threat of severe weather has led the Arkansas Activities Association to postpone all high school football playoff games.

The association says the 2A, 3A and 4A semifinal games scheduled for Friday will be played starting at 6 p.m. Saturday. The 5A championship game set for Friday night in Little Rock is now scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The class 6A and 7A championship games were already scheduled for Saturday in Little Rock.

The National Weather Service says strong storms are expected to develop in Arkansas Friday afternoon.

The weather service says the primary threat from the storms is damaging winds, but large hail and tornadoes are possible with the potential for heavy rainfall and flash flooding.

The storms are expected to diminish late Friday and early Saturday.
