An Ozark County man was killed in a single vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Northwest Missouri. Fifty-one-year-old Tommy D. Swisher of Wasola has been identified as the victim.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Swisher’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, Swisher overcorrected and the vehicle started skidding and ran off the roadway and struck several large pieces of concrete causing the vehicle to overturn. Swisher, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to Fairfax Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The accident occurred on Route N, 6 miles south of Tarkio at 1:58 Tuesday afternoon.
