MHJH basketball teams win 1 of 3 against Forrest City

Mountain Home came away with one win in three junior high games at home against Forrest City.

The mercy rule was invoked in the freshmen girls’ contest as the Junior Lady Bombers beat up on the Junior Lady Mustangs 55-13. Mountain Home was led by Haven Klinger with 17 points. The Junior Lady Bombers’ record is now 6-3, and they’ll begin tournament play Saturday at Cave City against the host Junior Cavewomen.

It was a different result in the freshmen boys’ game as Mountain Home fell to Forrest City 63-28. The Junior Bombers drop to 3-7 on the year, and they’ll travel to Marion on Monday.

The evening began with Mountain Home losing the eighth grade boys’ game 36-32 to Forrest City. Kolby Lockhart was the Eighth Grade Bombers’ leading scorer with 15 points. Mountain Home falls to 6-2.
