
Marion County authorities are appealing for the public’s help in locating a missing woman, 23-year-old Tapanga Maxwell.
Sheriff Clinton Evans says Maxwell’s mother reported her daughter missing Tuesday. Her mother advised her daughter has seizures, short-term memory loss, and the mentality of a 14-year-old. Authorities were also advised Maxwell left her medications at home.
Maxwell was last seen wearing a pink, gray, and white plaid shirt, dark blue pants, and dark blue slip-on canvas shoes.
She has brown hair and brown eyes, is approximately 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. Maxwell has a scar on the left upper part of her chest. In addition, she has a birthmark on the left front side of her neck that runs up and down, and there is also a scar on her neck that runs parallel on the front of her neck almost touching her birthmark. She has a scar that runs up and down about 3 to 4 inches from her armpit, and a scar on her lower back that runs up and down on her spine.
The missing Marion County woman was last seen Monday. Law enforcement says she is known to obtain rides from truck drivers.
