Junior Auxiliary of Mountain Home’s Reading is Fun or RIF project is the recipient of a $1,500 grant from the Twin Lakes Future Fund.
Through Junior Auxiliary’s RIF project, reading and literacy are promoted to elementary students. Junior Auxiliary provides a book to every student from kindergarten through second grade in the Mountain Home, Cotter and Norfork schools.
During the week of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Junior Auxiliary members and their guests read to each of the classrooms. After the guest readers leave, the students are given a new book to take home.
Junior Auxiliary of Mountain Home was founded in 1996. The organization’s motto is Care Today ~ Character Tomorrow.
