Two Yellville business owners are offering rewards after thieves broke in to one establishment and attempted to gain entry to the second one this week.

Rocky Kosh, owner of Southern Rock Tobacco Shop, and Randy Prowett, owner of Black Sheep BBQ Smokehouse and Grill, say they are each offering $500 rewards following the incidents.

Marion County Sheriff Clinton Evans says Dollar General Store was the first business to report being illegally entered. He says entry was made by cutting through the tin on the sidewall of the building.

Sheriff Evans says the second business entered was the tobacco shop, located across from Harp’s.

The third incident occurred at the restaurant where intruders attempted to enter the business through the roof, but were unsuccessful. He says tools left at the scene at the restaurant have been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for analysis.

Evans says law enforcement believes the three incidents are related and are working leads.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 870-449-4236.
