ABC/Image Group LA Tonight, Lauren Alaina will ring in 2019 by playing the Hollywood Party on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Kane Brown and Kelsea Ballerini. The Georgia native says you can bet her fiance, Alex Hopkins, will be close by as well.

“New Year’s is one of my very favorite holidays because you get to kiss someone, hopefully my fiance,” she jokes. “That would be a problem if I didn’t. I feel like it might cause me some problems.”

“But this is our first year kissing as an engaged couple, so I hope even more sparks fly for us. We’ll see how it goes,” she smiles.

In addition to getting engaged in 2018, Lauren won the New Female Vocalist trophy from the Academy of Country Music and earned a quadruple platinum record for her hit with Kane, “What Ifs.” She says playing New Year’s Rockin’ Eve is just another goal accomplished.

“It’s really crazy,” she admits. “The last few years of my life have been kind of unbelievable, and I keep having bucket list moments and this is another one for me…”

“There’s confetti everywhere, my pants are sparkly,” Lauren laughs. “I was, like, born for this day.”

In addition to her duet with Kane, Lauren plans to do her new single, “Ladies in the ’90s,” which is just beginning to catch on.

“In the live shows, I’m starting to be able to see that people are listening to it and singing it,” she points out, “which is like the most rewarding part of putting out music is seeing people connect with it.”

You can watch for Lauren, Kane, and Kelsea, as well as Florida Georgia LineDan + Shay, and Maren Morris on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest starting at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
