A Mountain Home High School alumnus will be returning to the Miss Arkansas Pageant this summer. Alexis Ungerank was recently crowned Miss Northwest Arkansas to earn a spot in the event at Little Rock.
Ungerank says she is excited to be able to return after competing a year ago.

Ungerank says part of the reason she decided to jump back into the competition was the enjoyment it gave her last year. She also says there’s an opportunity for scholarship money.

Ungerank’s talent to win the Miss Northwest Arkansas crown was the same dance routine she performed in last year’s Miss Arkansas, but she’ll come up with a different routine when she goes to Little Rock.
Ungerank is a junior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a double major in marketing and management, and she is a member of the Razorback Pom Squad. She also is a dance teacher, and she says dancing has been a major part of her life.

The 82nd-annual Miss Arkansas Pageant is scheduled for June 8th through 16th at the Robinson Center in downtown Little Rock.
Alexis is the daughter of Dr. Mark Ungerank and Hazel Ungerank.
