Coleman, Brown, Parker lead 1st round of MH Charity Golf Classic

The first day of the Mountain Home Charity Golf Classic is in the books at Big Creek Golf and Country Club.

Nick Coleman, Kirk Brown and Scott Parker are the first round leaders of the Championship Flight after they combined for a 16-under-par 56. Tommy Strickland, Barry Harris and Craig Boone are tied with Andrew Gillespie, Jeff Pipkin and Seth Johnson as both teams are five strokes off the lead.

Joey Sample, Wayde Leuthy and Lance Coffman are tied with Robin and Tim Myers and Leah Rowe at the top of the A Flight leaderboard after both teams shot an eight-under-par 64. Aaron Millsap, Micah Ausley and Race Jones are tied with Ty, Abbey and Trey Ott are tied for third with both teams one stroke back.

Brent Edens, Brad Schulz and John Campbell are in a three-way tie with the team of Bob Martorana and John and Steve Hopkins and the team of Tyler Wallace, Dan Fouts and Rodney Dunn for the lead in the B Flight. All three teams had a five-under-par 67.

Marcus Walser, Rick Hurst and Curly McCracken are tied with Tom Martin, Cody Fortenberry and Dustin Hillis for the C Flight lead with a two-under-par 70. Jim and Camden Maycunich and Eli Barrow are one stroke back for third place.

There’s a five-way tie for the lead in the D Flight. The team of Mike Culley, Eddie Helmert and Zach Byrd, the team of Bailey Bodenhamer, Eric Lunnen and Clint Recktenwald, the team of Derek and Michael MacKenzie and Jeff McDaniel, the team of Steve and Brian Smith and Travis Sullivan and the team of Jim Wingard, Clayton Dawe and Bud Webb each shot a 73.
