Courtesy of Sammy Hagar’s High Tide Beach PartySammy Hagar‘s second annual High Tide Beach Party & Car Show will be featuring a bit more booty shaking than first expected: KC and the Sunshine Band has been added to the two-day bash, scheduled for September 28 and 29 in Huntington Beach, California.
KC and the Sunshine Band singer Harry “KC” Casey shared the news in a video posted on his group’s official YouTube channel.
“Come join us on the sand in Huntington Beach, California, in September,” KC says. “This is not a music festival, this is a party, and no one knows how to throw a party [like] my good friend Sammy Hagar.”
As previously reported, Hagar and his current band The Circle will serve as the event’s headliners, and will be joined by ex-Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora as their special guest.
The lineup also includes The Beach Boys, Night Ranger, Blue Öyster Cult, ex-Outfield frontman Tony Lewis, Patty Smyth & Scandal, Extreme, Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe, and more.
Besides the music, the party will also feature an expansive display of unique automobiles, including Hagar’s Ferrari BB512i — which appeared in his “I Can’t Drive 55” music video — and the legendary “General Lee” 1969 Dodge Charger featured in The Dukes of Hazzard TV series.
In addition, the event includes beach activities and games, special photo opportunities, and a temporary beachside version of Sammy’s Cabo Wabo Cantina.
