Briana Terrill captured the 2019 Arkansas FFA Goat Production Proficiency Award.
Terrill says her project focused on self-discipline. She says through her project she learned responsibility and independence.
The goat production proficiency award recognizes students who are involved in a supervised agricultural experience using the best management practices to efficiently produce and manage goats and goat operations for meat, milk and exhibition.
The 16-year-old is the daughter of Sarah and Ryan Terrill.

Madison Woody earned state champion honors in the 2019 Arkansas FFA Diversified Livestock Production Proficiency Award area.
Woody says working with livestock was interesting because it’s truly up to you to determine what can and cannot be done.
The diversified livestock production proficiency award is designed to recognize students who were involved in a supervised agricultural experience involving the production and marketing of two or more livestock-related proficiencies, which included beef, dairy, swine, sheep, equine, specialty animals, small animal production and poultry.
The 18-year-old is the daughter of Derak and Trisha Woody. She plans to attend Oklahoma State University and become a large animal veterinarian.
Lyn Cotter serves as agricultural education instructor and FFA advisor for the two award winners.
