Calico Rock High School student Zoie Stapleton has been recognized for her award winning artwork.
Pat Foster, president of Wilson-Byler Post 7730 Auxiliary, and Jonathon Baker, Calico Rock High School art teacher, presented Stapleton with a plaque and a check recognizing her achievement.
Stapleton entered the Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest sponsored by the National VFW Auxiliary. After winning first place locally, her painting went on to compete at the state level, where it was awarded third.
