Various businesses and government offices will be closed Thursday in observance of Independence Day.
Baxter County will be among most counties whose government offices will observe the holiday. Offices will resume regular business hours Friday.
Gassville City Hall will also be closed on Thursday and will reopen Friday for regular business hours of 8 until 4:30. For police or fire emergencies, dial 911. For other assistance, call 870-421-7723.
The Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County will be closed Thursday and will reopen Friday. The regular hours are Monday and Wednesday through Friday from 10 until 6:30, Tuesday from 10 until 8, Saturday from 10 until 5 and Sunday afternoons from 1 until 5.
Several financial institutions and other businesses will also be closed Thursday. Contact your local place of business to inquire about holiday hours.
