The Mountain Home Diamonds lost their bracket opener in the Fastpitch America Softball Association (FASA) 16-and-under World Series Thursday in Branson. The Diamonds fell to the Louisiana Legends 7-5.
Kaylee Crownover suffered the defeat in the circle. Marcie Cudworth and Gabby Ramirez led the Mountain Home offense with two hits each.
The Diamonds continue action in Branson Friday morning. Mountain Home will play an elimination game at 9 a.m.
