Another Baxter County Fair has come and gone. Activities got underway Sept. 7 and concluded Saturday.
While the fair was well attended, fair board secretary Konnie Coleman says the heat kept the numbers down compared to last year.

The fair had 80 participants in last weekend’s fair pageant and 68 competitors in Thursday’s baby contest. Coleman says there was also good participation in the events in the horticulture building.

The Baxter County Fair Association is also thankful to the volunteers and their efforts in making the fair clean and safe and to everyone attending this year’s fair. Anyone with ideas on improving next year’s event is encouraged to go online to baxtercountyfair.org.
