A 26-year-old Mountain Home woman pled guilty to drug-related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and was sentenced to four years in prison.

Jasmine McDaniel was first arrested in early January in a room at a local motel. Mountain Home Police officers initially went to the room with a 23-year-old man who said he had been staying there, but had to leave because he was being threatened. The man wanted police to accompany him to the motel to retrieve his personal belongings.

When police entered the room, they found drugs and drug paraphernalia, along with a 19-year-old male lying between the bed and the wall.

McDaniel told the officers the illegal items were hers and she “would take the blame for all of it.”

Her next arrest came in mid-March, when MHPD officers went to a residence seeking McDaniel on an active arrest warrant. During a search incident in the arrest, a number of items of drug paraphernalia were located.
