The Mountain Home School Board dealt with a busy agenda Thursday night during its regular December meeting. Among the items approved were the updated master plan, the moving of the playground at Hackler Intermediate School and the purchase of land near school property and it started discussions on an agreement to begin fundraising for an on-campus tennis facility.

The master plan is a six-year facility improvement initiative school districts are required by law to complete and keep updated.   The district’s plan includes enrollment projections, building system replacement, custodial and maintenance programs, and other critical information. Superintendent Dr. Jake Long says the biggest expenditure in the master plan is replacing the roof at the junior high, which needs to be done soon.
