NAEC announces closure of office lobbies

North Arkansas Electric Cooperative (NAEC) and NEXT, Powered by NAEC are taking preventative measures to help limit the spread of COVID-19.Beginning Tuesday, NAEC lobbies in Salem, Mountain Home and Ash Flat, as well as the Salem office’s Orange Room, will be closed to the public until at least April 20.Mel Coleman, CEO of NAEC, discusses the cooperative’s decision to close the facilities.

Members may conduct business with NAEC and NEXT via phone at 870-895-3221, the Salem or Mountain Home drive-thrus or the drop-boxes found at each office. NAEC members may access their account through the Member Account Portal at www.naeci.com or the NAEC mobile app. Members who need more time to pay their electric bill are asked to call NAEC.

North Arkansas Electric would like to remind the public everyone can help prevent the spread of illness by following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendations.

Which include:

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and then dispose of it.

Stay home if you are sick and limit contact with others in your household.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs and phones, each day.
