The Mountain Home School Board has a lengthy agenda on tap for its regular July meeting Thursday night.

Among the items the board will discuss is an updated school calendar. Classes were originally scheduled to begin Aug. 13, but last week Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced classes cannot begin prior to Aug. 24 or later that Aug. 26 to give schools more time to prepare due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Superintendent Dr. Jake Long says the personnel policy committee has developed a proposal the board will vote on.

Several expenditures are on the agenda including 25 MacBooks for staff members, 25 laptops for classified staff and software for off-site learning.

The board will also discuss a resolution for COVID-19 policy waivers and student transfers into and out of the district.

The meeting starts at 6 at the administration building on Rodeo Drive.
