Graduation for seniors at Mountain Home High school is set for Friday evening at 8 at Bomber Stadium.

School officials say after surveying the seniors, an overwhelming number requested to have the most traditional graduation ceremony as possible. The school put together a plan, which has been approved by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The plan was designed to provide graduates and families a memorable experience while also meeting the state guidelines for large venues and social distancing. Large venue guidelines only allow for a 66% occupancy rate in Bomber Stadium.

Superintendent Dr. Jake Long says they have several guidelines for arrival and entrance into the stadium.

Everyone entering the stadium, including graduates, will be required to wear a mask. A few of the other guidelines include:
– Graduates and guests will be allowed to bring bottled water into the ceremony.
– Chairs on the field are not allowed to be moved, as they will be spaced out in accordance with social distancing guidelines.
– Graduates will not shake hands with school officials but will pose for a photograph, as they cross the stage. Masks may be removed only while the graduate is on the stage.
