After temporarily suspending all visitation earlier this month, Fulton County Hospital officials announced a revised policy Thursday morning. In a Facebook post, officials say the revised policy is effective immediately and allows one visitor per patient from 4 to 6 p.m. daily.
New pandemic requirements under the policy include screening of all visitors upon arrival, and they are being asked to perform hand hygiene.
All visitors are required to wear a mask to ensure the nose and mouth are covered.
In addition, no exceptions will be made for visitors who are sick to enter the hospital.
Visitors must remain at the patient’s bedside throughout the time they are in the hospital, unless otherwise directed by a staff member.
Any patient on airborne isolation will not be allowed a visitor.
No visitors under the age of 18 are permitted.
If visitors do not pass the screening process or do not follow hospital protocols, they will not be allowed to visit
Emergency Department patients will be allowed one visitor for the duration of their ER visit, but they must remain at the bedside unless otherwise directed by a staff member.
Congregating in areas such as waiting rooms and cafeteria will not be permitted.
