The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas will conduct a mass distribution of fresh produce, dairy and protein Friday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Mountain Home. The food will be free to local residents in need, and the distribution will take place in the Twin Lakes Plaza parking lot in front of Goodwill Industries on U.S. Highway 62 East.

The public will be asked to enter the parking lot at Baxter Cinema off of Wallace Knob Road and proceed to pick up food behind Anstaff Bank, before exiting onto Wallace Knob Road. Individuals are reminded to stay in their vehicles when receiving food.

The distribution is made possible in part through a partnership with the North Central Board of Realtors and is intended to assist local families in need related to the COVID-19 crisis.

Food bank CEO Jeff Quick says, “We’re blessed with incredible partners like our local realtors and appreciate their willingness to help us help the communities we serve in this way.”

The semi-trailer load of fresh produce and chicken will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and is part of over 1.5 million meals distributed throughout the region by the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
