Cotter City Council faces busy agenda

The Cotter City Council will face a busy agenda, when it when it meets in regular session Thursday evening at 6.Under consideration will be a pair of resolutions, one of which is the yearly housekeeping resolution to set the city’s tax levy to be collected next year. The council will also consider a resolution to apply for an Arkansas Historic Preservation Restoration grant for the North Arkansas Youth Center.The council will consider a “change of scope for budgeted items in the street department,” after reviewing new quotes from Madden Paving. Other new business includes setting dates for council meetings in November and December, along with a tentative date for a budget workshop.Information will be reviewed for the annual Waste Connections CPI-U rate adjustment, a movie in the in the park slated for Friday and a copy of a draft sewer interlocal agreement between Cotter and Gassville for review.

Reports will be heard from public works, fire, police, building, planning and zoning the Cotter-Gassville Sewer Commission.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers of Cotter City Hall.
