Cardinals head to San Diego for postseason opener

The St. Louis Cardinals will be on the west coast to begin their postseason run. The Redbirds are in San Diego for Wednesday’s first game of a best-of-three series with the Padres.

St. Louis is the fifth-seeded team in the National League’s Wild Card round with a record of 30-28 and a second-place finish in the Central Division. San Diego ended up second in the N.L. West with a mark of 37-23 and as the No. 4 seed in the league.

Kwang Hyun Kim will start for the Cardinals, and Chris Paddack will take the mound for the Padres. The first pitch at Petco Park is scheduled for 4:07. Wednesday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 3:12 with Ameren Total Access.
