The Baxter County Quorum Court has a 13-item agenda for consideration when it meets Tuesday evening at 6.
Four of the items are resolutions concerning funding through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and are in support of hazard pay for certain public safety officers, the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, the Baxter County Fair Board and the Baxter County Fire Chiefs Association.
The quorum court will also be asked to consider a resolution in support of Issue 1 on the November General Election Ballot. The ballot initiative proposes an amendment to the Arkansas Constitution to continue a one-half cent sales and use tax for state highway and bridges, county roads and city streets.
Other agenda items include ordinances to appropriate $20,091 to the Clerk’s Election Grant Fund, re-appropriate $32,966 in the sheriff’s office 2020 budget and appropriate $20,000 into the road and bridge 2020 budget for the purchase of a grapple truck.
