Portions of the Buffalo River Trail and Old River Trail near the Ozark Campground will close Thursday to allow the Buffalo National River park’s fire crew to conduct a prescribed burn.
The Ozark Campground and river access at the campground will remain open.
Smoke may impact the area surrounding Ozarks through the end of the week.
This will likely be a one-day burn, but you may call the Tyler Bend Visitor Center at 870-439-2502 to check conditions, if you plan to hike or camp this area over the next couple of days.
