The Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce’s nationwide search for a new president and chief executive officer ended right in their back yard.

Danielle “Dani” Pugsley was selected for the position Tuesday after a vote of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Pugsley is currently the EAST facilitator for Mountain Home High School, which covers eighth through 12th grade.

A native of Springhill, Tennessee, Pugsley has spent the past 11 years in the Mountain Public School District, the last three in her current position. She holds an undergraduate degree in health and human performance from Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tennessee, as well as a Masters of Education in Theory and Practice, a Masters in Special Education and Educational Specialist degree in Education Leadership and Administration. She is enrolled in a program to earn her Doctorate in Education Administration and Leadership.

Chamber Board President Jeff Quick said the organization received heavy interest in the position.
