Ice patches reported on area highways

Sunday’s snowfall has impacted some area highways in the Twin Lakes Area. According to IDriveArkansas.com, U.S. Highway 62/412 currently has ice patches from Pyatt to the intersection with U.S. Highway 65 in Bellefonte. Highway 65 also has ice patches from St. Joe to Harrison, and ice is also being reported on Arkansas Highway 7 from Harrison and going south through its entire route in Newton County.

Spokespersons for sheriff’s offices for Baxter, Marion and Ozark counties have not received any reports of hazardous travel conditions on county roads, and the Mountain Home Police Department has no reports of ice on the city streets. In addition, the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Traveler Information Map is not showing hazardous road conditions due to winter weather.
